ASSIGNMENT 2

FOR THE WEEK OF JANUARY 4TH TO 8TH




                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  
FOR THE SECOND DAY OF CLASSES: 

1. Take a quiz on ALL the verbs (Practice Book page 87): infinitive, past simple, past participle, meaning. You have all this vacation to memorize the verbs. Practice 15 minutes daily until you master the verbs.

2. Watch the video. In class you will describe other cadets or other people using the cards you prepared before. Something similar to what people say in this video.



FOR THE THIRD DAY OF CLASSES: In one sheet of paper, write 100 words minimum about you and your best friend. Include some of the following information.

• who he/she is astrological sign (if you know it)
personality and character
likes and dislikes
• why you get along well and what you do together



IRREGULAR VERBS PROYECT


  • Watch the irregular verbs videos I posted last week. These are examples of how you can prepare your irregular verbs song.
  • In class this week (December 14 to 18) in group you will prepare a song or rap with the irregular verbs I told you in class. 
  • During vacation you will memorize ALL the verbs (Practice Book page 87) for your song, individually. When you come back from vacation you will record a video singing or rapping the irregular verbs with choreography, in class.
  • You have to email me the video of the song or rap not later than Wednesday January 20th, 2016.
Verbs song/rap evaluation criteria

  • showing meaning:                     2 points
  • verbs written in the video:        2 points

THIRD TERM - ASSIGNMENT 1

FOR THE WEEK OF DECEMBER 14TH TO 18TH


FOR THE SECOND DAY OF CLASSES: Make cards in cardboard with ALL the adjectives in the PRACTICE BOOK page 84 - Unit 3 "Feelings and character" (the cards should be similar to the cards that you made with the verbs). At the back of each card you have to paste a picture showing the meaning of the adjective.

2. FOR THE SECOND DAY OF CLASS: Write a short autobiography of 100 words, following the model in Student's Book page 27. Click here and print the rubrics. Take the rubrics to school.

ASSIGNMENT 5

For the week of November 23 to 27



1. FOR THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS: In your house you have to prepare verb cards. You will need:

Materials:

  5 pink A4 cardboard sheets
  5 green A4 cardboard sheets
  5 yellow A4 cardboard sheets
  markers

Instructions:

To make the cards fold the A4 cardboard sheet in 16 parts and cut them out, then write one verb in each card, like this. WRITE BIG LETTERS.

Based on the List of Irregular verbs of the Practice Book, you have to make:

77 INFINITIVE VERBS cards, color pink
77 PAST SIMPLE VERBS cards, color green
77 PAST PARTICIPLE VERBS cards, color yellow
Take them to school on Monday in three different plastic bags.

You will also bring to class:
    1 light blue A4 cardboard sheet
    1 white A4 cardboard sheet
     scissors
     markers


2. FOR THE SECOND DAY OF CLASS: Pronunciation quiz. Memorize the dialogue and present it in pairs, be careful with the pronunciation of the regular verbs (in bold):
